Interviewing Foundations

This course will cover: the importance of interviewing; types of interviews; several methods and techniques of interviewing; interview setting; and principles of interviewing. Rapport Building will be the practical focus of this course as an entry into a better and more strategic interview. Practical exercises are included.

Course includes introductions from several representatives of different methods including Reid Technique, Wicklander-Zulawski, PEACE, BELIEF, Conversation Management, Analytical Interviewing, Cognitive Interviewing, and Kinesic Interviewing.

Aaron Denbo is a seasoned presenter, interviewer, and investigator who focuses on applying innovative and effective techniques to the investigative process. Mr. Denbo is a Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Forensic Interviewer and Social Media Intelligence Analyst with investigative area specializations in Healthcare Fraud, Organized Crime, Interviewing, Applied Linguistics and Social Media/OSINT. He earned a Masters degrees in Religion and a Master of Applied Science in Security Management and holds advanced certificates in Forensic Linguistics and a certificate in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design. His investigative background includes fraud investigation in Higher Education entitlement programs, Healthcare Fraud, and Insurance fraud. He is currently a fraud investigator in the Pacific Northwest.
