Ester Stewart
Hello,
My name is Ester “Patrice” Stewart. I have been employed with the City of Houston, Houston Police Department for over 26 years. I began my career with the department as a Data Entry Operator at the Central Jail Division and approximately one year later I became a Jailer. At the age of 34 I applied to become an HPD Police Cadet. I graduated from the police academy in 1998 at the age of 35 and began my career as a Houston Police Officer. I have been assigned to patrol as a patrol officer, community service as a differential response team officer, and after promoting to sergeant in 2010 I was assigned to Special Victims as an investigative sergeant where I supported six investigative officers. I am currently assigned to Homeland Security, Hobby Airport Division as a patrol sergeant. I recently took the lieutenants exam and scored an 83. This is my fourth attempt to promote to the rank of lieutenant. I have 10 seniority points and no educational points to be added.
