Joseph Fitzgerald

Joseph Fitzgerald, Ph.D. is currently a police administrator in his 15th year. He received his Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University, his Master in Public Policy from Northwestern University and his Doctoral degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Joseph is a published author and subject matter expert in the field of organizational leadership and emotional intelligence specifically focusing in on alignment and change management within law enforcement agencies. Aside from his police duties Joseph speaks on the topics of leadership and organizational behavior at Northwestern’s School of Police Staff and Command. He also works as a lead researcher on emotional intelligence for The Emotional Intelligence Institute where his main focus is the study of how emotional intelligence programs, that show statistically positive results, can be successfully implemented in law enforcement agencies.
