Jaime Trevino

My name is Jaime Trevino and I am a law enforcement professional with 30 years of experience. My current assignment is a Lieutenant with the San Antonio Police Department as the Commander of the Special Operations Unit. The Special Operations Unit consist of the Bomb Squad, K-9, Hostage Negotiators, SWAT Team, and the Tactical Medic Program.

I firmly believes the Special Operations Unit is a critical component of the services SAPD provides to the San Antonio community, Bexar County and AACOG Region 18. These services include training, uniformed support, critical incident/unusual occurrence response and community outreach initiatives. I am member of the Chief’s Leadership Committee and the Rescue Task Force Committee.

I am certified as a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Instructor and Firearms Instructor. I hold an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from San Antonio College and I am currently working to obtain a Bachelor Degree in the same field of study.
