Mitchell Watson

I currently serve as one of three medical examiners for our county. I work full time for the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office as a Detective Sergeant assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division (CID). Prior to my recent promotion I worked Violent Crimes / Homicide.
I continue to maintain my Paramedic credentials after working nearly 26 years as a pre-hospital provider. As a child I grew up in the fire service hanging around the fire station with my dad. In 1984, I officially became old enough to become a Junior Firefighter. I worked my way through the ranks and have served as the Fire Chief from 2007 until present. I am happily married to my best friend Joy of 22 years. We have two boys Brenden (18) and Kendell (15) who both serve in the fire service as 3rd generation firefighters.
