Theodore Henderson
I am a Police Lieutenant with the San Leandro Police Department (California). I have been with the department for 21 years and will be taking the Captain’s test on November 17th. I joined the San Leandro Police Department in 1995 after graduating from the Napa Valley College Police Academy.
During my career, I have worked in a variety of assignments including being an Evidence Technician, Field Training Officer, Traffic Enforcement Officer, Canine Handler, and a Vice/Narcotics detective. I also served as a member of the Evidence Response Team and as a team leader for the Hostage Negotiation Team.
I was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2009 and supervised the Crimes Against Persons Investigations Unit until I promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Presently, I am assigned to the Patrol Division as a Watch Commander.
