Jim Osorio
Jim Osorio is regarded as one of the foremost experts in the country today in canine aggression and their encounters and less lethal technology towards animals. With over 30 years in Public Safety, Jim has trained officers throughout the United States at the Local, State and Federal levels of Law Enforcement, Animal Control, Firefighters and EMS personnel.
He has worked in the fields of Public Safety over 30 years; he has held titles such as Certified Animal Control Officer, Certified Animal Cruelty Investigator, Deputy Marshall, Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter, Inspector, Investigator, Police Dispatcher and Special Deputy Sheriff.
Jim has written several articles and a book, How to Prosecute Animal Cruelty. He has been called in as an Expert Witness for various cities, county, state and federal government agencies. Jim received several recognitions from various agencies in his assistance for helping animals in their time of need; such incidents were during the September 11, 2001 attacks of the World Trade Center in New York City, Florida Hurricanes in 2004 and Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Jim is also a member of the National Illegal Animal Fighting Task Force, Dangerous Animal Task Force and the Special Operations Response Team – K9 Unit.
His training methods have been accredited by numerous law enforcement agencies across the United States. Fort Worth Police Department in Texas and the Atlanta Police Department in Georgia have rated his training methods a must for all law enforcement officers across the United States who encounter dogs on the job.
